Job Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical upkeep of the property, including performing repairs, maintaining the grounds, collecting trash, blowing leaves, etc, as well as performing necessary cleaning activities, such as dusting, mopping, trash removal, after all repairs are done.
Duties/Responsibilities: Performs daily rounds, logging all required readings from systems, alerting supervisor or GM of any areas needing repair. Performs repairs in all areas of hotel and grounds as needed. Maintains or assists in maintaining and monitoring water features. Communicates to front desk staff regarding status of repairs in rooms. Responds to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Logs in and maintains contact through assigned devices/software. Cleans up after all repairs in public spaces and meeting rooms, alerting Lead Housekeeper that the area is ready to be sanitized. Sanitize all tools needed on a daily basis, including devices at the beginning and end of each shift. Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures. Maintains a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with guests and fellow staff members Perform special projects as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.
