We're seeking a passionate and driven Healthcare Planner to join our dynamic team of design professionals. This unique role offers a blend of in-office and remote work options, providing flexibility and collaboration opportunities across our diverse locations.
As a Healthcare Planner, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting innovative healthcare spaces that prioritize operational efficiency and user experience. From medical centers to outpatient clinics, you'll lead the conceptual design process, working closely with project teams and firm principals across all offices in NY, NJ, and PA.
Responsibilities:
Lead the conceptual design of healthcare projects, translating client operational models into architectural plans.
Facilitate clinical user group meetings, actively generating real-time solutions and fostering collaboration.
Coordinate architectural documentation to support planning concepts and ensure design continuity.
Apply regulatory codes and hospital standards to meet project requirements.
Collaborate with project teams to deliver projects on defined budgets and timelines.
Support firmwide sustainability and resilience goals through innovative design solutions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Deep understanding of healthcare facilities, from master planning to interior renovations.
Proficiency in healthcare planning concepts, patient safety, and evidence-based design principles.
Ability to lead clinical user meetings and manage user expectations throughout the design process.
Experience with medical equipment planning and familiarity with industry standards.
Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
Flexibility to work on concurrent projects across different office locations.
Forward-thinking approach to healthcare planning and design.
Education, Certifications, and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field from an accredited school.
Licensed or working towards licensure.
15+ years of experience as a Medical Planner.
Proficiency in Revit is a plus.
ACHA Certification preferred; CHID, LEAN, EDAC, LEED AP, or WELL certifications are advantageous.
Familiarity with Newforma, Deltek Vision, or Vantagepoint is beneficial.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
