Foxhall Resort is looking for a General Manager who will manage the hospitality, membership, event space, and outfitters at the resort. This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and motivated candidate to join Foxhall's growing business in different market segments. This position will be responsible for maximizing the property's financial performance, guest satisfaction, and staff development within the company's established quality standards. The ideal candidate should have an established track record as General Manager of a full-service hotel or resort with conference space and solid experience in sales, marketing, and banquet service. This position will report to the owners directly; compensation and benefits are expected to be discussed during the interview process. Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the general manager include but are not limited to the following: • Be on the property from Tuesday to Saturday for corporate and wedding events and must live within 30 minutes of the resort. • Lead effective operations of rooms, food & beverage, and event services to maximize financial performance while maintaining quality standards and maximizing guest satisfaction. • Direct the maximization of revenue by forecasting market demand trends and developing annual business and marketing plans accordingly. • Direct the property's digital marketing campaign to promote the sales of all business lines. • Direct, manage, and train staff, especially in the sales and marketing department. When available, actively participate in sales presentations, property tours, and client meetings. • Ensure a productive, participative, and comfortable work environment for employees. • Lead the recruitment process of new employees and the termination of underperforming employees when necessary. • Conduct regular staff meetings and daily briefings to maintain constant communication on various tasks or issues of each department. • Participate in the development of short and long-term financial and operational goals of the resort. • Prepare, present, control, and achieve the property's operating budget; monitor and analyze the daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance of the property. • Coordinate capital improvement projects to maintain/upgrade quality standards and property image; protect assets from neglect, damage, or deterioration. • Keep close communication with the owner on all aspects of property performance and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual formal reports/presentations to the owners and asset managers. • Work closely with the owners living on the property who are highly involved with the resort personnel and understand the operations. Qualifications:

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing, both traditional and digital. • Capable of applying common revenue management techniques. • Good communication skills, both verbal and written. • Must possess basic computer skills and be fluent with Microsoft Office applications. • Fluency in hotel property management system. • Basic math skills and budgetary analysis capabilities. • Ability to supervise, train, and motivate multiple levels of employees. • Knowledge of the local hotels and competitive markets. • Ability to study, analyze, and interpret complex activities and/or information to develop new practices or new approaches. • Ability to maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Required Experience

All applicants must have all of the following qualifications to be considered: • Proven experience in hospitality sales and marketing, preferably with hotels/resorts with a large amount of meeting and conference space. • 5+ years of full-service hotel/resort general manager experience. • Worked as the general manager for 2+ previous hotel/resort properties. It will be a plus if the candidate has: • Previous similar resort management experience in Southeast U.S. • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Hotel/Restaurant or Business Administration.
