They need to someone with a track record of success in freight sales. Responsibilities: - Identify and engage potential leads through various lead sourcing tools, networking, and industry research
- Conduct thorough research to prepare for sales calls, understanding market trends and key decision makers
- Proactively make cold calls to generate leads and contribute to business growth
- Provide accurate quotes and pricing based on comprehensive market analysis
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners, negotiate competitive rates, and maintain open lines of communication
- Efficiently enter and verify load information in our proprietary TMS system
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure smooth transportation processes
- Collaborate effectively with the accounting department to address any discrepancies
- Contribute positively to the team's dynamic and foster a collaborative work environment
Qualifications: - Preferred: Someone with a track record or exceeding goals. If one has a Book of Business, additional pay is negotiable.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales and/or customer service within the supply chain and logistics sector
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Demonstrated sense of urgency, self-confidence, and commitment to exceptional customer service
- Enthusiasm for the logistics and supply chain domain
- Capability to work both independently and as a collaborative team player
