Job Description: Our client is seeking a seasoned Bookkeeper/Finance Manager/Comptroller to oversee financial and administrative functions critical to their business operations. As a key member of their team, you will be responsible for managing insurance, workers' compensation, liability, 401(k), payroll processing, and other essential tasks. This role requires a versatile individual who can wear multiple hats and demonstrate proficiency in financial management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage insurance policies, including workers' compensation and liability coverage.
* Oversee 401(k) administration and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Process payroll accurately and timely, including cutting checks and wiring funds to employees.
* Handle administrative tasks related to financial operations and business management.
* Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements and income statements.
* Maintain meticulous records and documentation for tax purposes.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to financial management and compliance.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
* 10+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping, payroll, and financial management.
* Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software.
* Strong understanding of general liability, audits, and business licensing requirements.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
* Must be able to work in-office.
