Start YOUR career withDHL today… We have an immediate careeropportunity for a qualified Facilities Supervisor at our Erlanger,KY hub. As a Facilities Supervisor, you will provide a variety of facilitymanagement, administrative management and general office support duties atsupervisory level, including but not limited to the following:
Direct management, performance monitoring and controlling of our 3rdparty provider for janitorial/custodial services. Work alongside Corporate Legal, Risk and Procurement divisions to negotiate, execute, renew or refresh 3rdparty service Agreements (as applicable within area of responsibility). Develop annualized budget for area(s) of responsibility. Ensure timely and detailed tracking and reporting of expenses. Lead and/or support employee, executive and/or customer events both on and off the CVG campus. Assist in the oversight and execution of various site services, including, but not limited to, snow removal and grounds maintenance. Support all facets of the Hub Support Services Group (Sort, Facility and GSE Maintenance) as necessitated by the business. Other duties as assigned by management. Customer (Internal): Interactions are with subordinates, service providers, counterparts, local management, executive management and internal customers. Interaction requires a proactive/preventive approach regarding impact of services, specific phases of work or operation. Role model to subordinate peers and service providers; instructs and teaches others. Impact: Sets objectives and delivers results that have both immediate and longer-term impact within the area of responsibility. Erroneous decisions or recommendations or failure to achieve results would normally result in noticeable delays in assigned work resulting in moderate expenditure of additional time, human resources and/or funds. People Management: Primary contribution is 3rd party service providers (via the designated site manager). Schedules work for optimum efficiency, productivity and completion. Provides day-to-day work direction. Process: Recommends and implements process improvements for area; identifies, defines and develops solutions to issues and problems that are not immediately evident in existing systems. Focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity, meeting service/productivity standards and resolving operational problems and/or disturbances. Assigns and checks work. Provides guidance and training. Majority of time is focused on management all 3rd party service providers . Position primarily reports during daytime business hours; however, must be flexible to shift, day(s) of week to support 24x7 business unit and responsibilities within. Skills & Qualifications: Complete understanding and wide application of principles, theories and concepts in office/facility management. An advanced understanding of specific aspects of work supervised and practical application to problems and situations ordinarily encountered. Knows and effectively uses fundamental concepts, practices and procedures relative to quality and productivity improvements, training, budgeting and cost control, and progressive techniques in the specialized area of office/facility management. Generally understands the basic supervisory approaches for work direction, motivation and disciplinary action. Strong understanding of 3rd party service provider concept, philosophy and management. Superior customer service skills with a proactive/preventive mindset. Prior GeT/SAP experience strongly preferred. Prior operations, administration or customer service supervisory/management experience strongly preferred. Commercial property and/or real estate management experience a plus.
