About the Role
The Executive Director, Corporate Control Management, is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the Compliance Risk Assessment Program. This includes developing and overseeing the global/horizontal program framework, methodology, and execution, ensuring the identification and assessment of key compliance risks is consistent across the organization. The role involves leading discussions with senior business executives and stakeholders to articulate risk levels within the compliance risk framework. The Executive Director is also accountable for delivering and reporting on compliance risk assessments to governance committees and the Board, as well as managing regulatory matters and meetings related to the program. Strong communication, collaboration, and partnership skills are essential to influence and lead in a complex, matrixed environment.Candidates for this role should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years in financial services, and a strong background in controls, audit, or risk management. A deep understanding of regulatory and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives, the ability to influence and lead at a senior management level, and strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. The role demands a results-driven individual with attention to detail, the ability to synthesize information, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in compliance and a higher level of financial service experience are preferred, along with expertise in market practice risk, fiduciary risk, or client/sales practice risk.
