Job Description The Event Coordinator supports the Senior Event Services Manager and the Director of Food & Beverage and is responsible for supporting the banquet & catering functions. 
Perform administrative responsibilities to include banquet event orders, client resumes, event diagrams, lead pre-convention meetings, and planning sites.
Act as the liaison for all vendor/supplier related clients needs, (i.e. Audio Visual, Florists, Entertainment, Transportation, Event Planners, Off-site Locations, etc).
Supervise the execution of Social Catering and Banquet groups in any & all function spaces.
Coordinate the sales efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
Uncover clients' event needs through a creative approach of selling a vision and experience, with a focus on miscellaneous upsells and room rental capture.
Print and distribute BEOs for each event weekly, add Master Account numbers to all Social Event BEOs.
Assist with BEO Distribution, 14-Day Calendar and 90 Day Calendar.
Support the Banquet Manager in creating & printing menu cards, menus and buffet food labels as need
Assist the conference service manager with input of inquiries, leads, activities in Delphi when needed. 
Maintain accuracy of any third party diagram software. Ensure diagrams are standard in client proposals and provided to banquet operations with Banquet Event Orders (BEO's).
Perform hotel site tours with potential clients when needed. 
Coordinates necessary arrangements with vendors relating to events. 
Works with Accounting/Finance to ensure deposit and payment schedules are maintained and deposits are collected. 
Review Opera to make sure Posting Masters are set up according to the contract. 
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Editing skills with impeccable attention to detail.
Exceptional ability to communicate clearly and with confidence with guests and team members at all levels. 
Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple projects at once. 
Ability to remain flexible with work assignments. 
Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends if needed. 
Computer proficiency and experience with: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Delphi. Experience with Opera, Delphi and Social Tables is a plus.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in or knowledge of the hospitality industry is preferred  Ability to make smart decisions that support property operations  Ability to professionally represent the resort and interact with guests in a polished, responsible, and timely manner  This position starts at $27.81/hour
