Environmental Technician I PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for an Environmental Technician I to join our Building & Construction team in our Plymouth, MI office. What you'll do: Asbestos Surveys/Abatement Monitoring/Clearance Sampling Lead Based Paint (LBP) Inspections/Risk Assessments Mold Sampling/Abatement Monitoring/Clearance Sampling Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)/Phase ESA II Investigations Industrial Hygiene (IH) Related Services What it takes to be successful in this role: HS Degree or Equivalent required AS or BS Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Biology, or some Physical Science is preferred Certified Asbestos Building Inspector/LBP Inspector/Risk Assessor in the state of Michigan required 1+ years of Asbestos Building Inspection and Abatement Monitoring or 1+ years of LBP Inspections/Risk Assessments is required 1+ years Phase I Environmental Site Assessment experience is preferred 1+ years of experience in soil and groundwater sampling and documentation is preferred Knowledge of IH and practical environmental concepts, principles, and practices is preferred Ability to create various reports, documents, spreadsheets, with Microsoft Office software Good oral and written communication skills is required Must be able to work off shifts M-F, with some weekends and overtime Must be able to lift items with weights in excess of 40 pounds multiple times as needed to complete project requirements A Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record is required Why work at Intertek?
