Employment Status: Hourly Full-Time
Function: Manufacturing Lincoln Electric is seeking an Engineering Technician for our Cleveland, Ohio headquarters. The Engineering Technician will play a key role in supporting our Engine Drive R&D Commercial Products Group. This is a hands-on technical role that requires both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities Provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development.
Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems.
Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formula and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.
Work in Machine R&D laboratory assisting multiple projects in the design, construction, and testing of welding products.
Use data acquisition system, computers, and CAD as required. Assist in the preparation of documentation.
Operate basic lab equipment including meters, oscilloscopes, temperature recorders, etc. (Training provided as needed).
BASIC REQUIREMENTS: .
Level II: Vocational Training & 3+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 5+ years of experience in related field
Level III: Vocational Training & 5+ years of related experience or, Associates Degree in related field or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 7+ years of experience in related field
Level IV: Vocational Training & 8+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 10+ years of experience in related field
Level V: Vocational Training & 10+ years of related experience or, High School Diploma or equivalent & 12+ years of experience in related field
Has working knowledge and skills to perform a defined set of analytical/scientific methods or operational processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent organizational skills.
Highly motivated, quick to learn, and safety conscious. Ability to organize and maintain a neat work area.
Ability to work on multiple projects with supervision and clear instruction.
Ability to use personal computers and common laboratory equipment.
Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics, and test specifications.
Capable of lifting 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
Good hands-on assembly and troubleshooting skills.
Electrical/electronic experience is a plus.
Selected candidate's Job Level and Pay Grade will be determined based upon qualifications and experience.
