Volt is currently seeking an Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator/Engineer for an Electronics Manufacturing company located in Jeffersonville IN. As a EHS Engineer you will: Conducts new hire safety orientations. Conducts monthly EHS audits and follows up to assure corrective actions are completed. Manage radiation safety program including training, registration of x-ray equipment. Investigate injuries, illnesses, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions. Maintains OSHA 300 log as required by law. Coordinate EHS responses and corrective actions to audits from Cal/OSHA, HQ, Client Supplier Responsibility, and others. Prepares and implements EHS SOPs and programs. Prepares and conducts training programs including Radiation, New Hires, Hazardous Materials, Forklifts, and Ergonomics. Provides certification of forklift operators. Conducts ergonomic evaluations as needed. Prepares and maintains Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs). Manages and trains Emergency Response Team (ERT). Coordinates emergency evacuation drills. Manages hazardous waste collection and proper removal from site. Tracks usage of hazardous materials as required. Conducts reviews of new equipment to include ergonomics, any lockout tagout, machine guarding, or emergency stop requirements. Posts EHS programs and other relevant information for workers to access. Manages document control of EHS documents. You will need the following to succeed in the role: BSc/BA in Safety management in EHS related fields and/or 3+ years of experience. Understanding of OSHA guidelines. Outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking and presentation skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to produce reports and developing relevant policies. Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour, Monday through Friday day shift hours
