Responsibilities
• Lead EH&S matters and ensure compliance with guidelines and policies• Collaborate with departments to review and verify performance of EH&S systems• Plan actions to engage and support stakeholders for effective EH&S processes• Promote improvements of established EH&S processes• Conduct EHS audits for business processes• Resolve EH&S issues in collaboration with other departments• Determine training and developmental needs for stakeholders• Support Corporate EHS plans and strategies• Responsible for individual development of direct reports• Plan and establish annual budget for EHS department• Participate and contribute to annual strategic planning• Supervisory responsibilities - interviewing, hiring, training, etc.
Requirements
• Ability to identify general safety hazards• Basic knowledge of safety management and legal compliance• Written/Verbal/Interpersonal Skills• Ability to provide instruction to individuals• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in occupational safety, environmental science, or related field• 1 to 2 years of relevant EHS experience• Attention to detail and capability to analyze data• Strong organization and prioritization skills• Active participation in team-oriented processes• Theoretical and practical knowledge of state and federal regulatory standards• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
