Job Summary

The Director of Surgical Services leads the perioperative team with a focus on safe patient care while effectively managing operations.

Job Responsibilities

Identify and address real/potential problems affecting service, implementing solutions with follow-through and communication.
Actively participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication.
Coach subordinates, providing feedback, constructive critique, individual development plans, and documenting job performance.
Effectively communicate departmental, organizational, and industry information to staff.
Build strong relationships and networks to achieve organizational and department goals.
Enforce standards of care for surgical services, developing processes for consistent compliance.
Develop, implement, and evaluate an ongoing surgical services program ensuring quality patient care consistent with the Hospital mission.
Monitor compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies for safety.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
3+ years of leadership experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice.
A certified Nursing Operating Room (CNOR) is preferred.
Certified Surgical Services Manager (CSSM) preferred.

Salary:

Negotiable based on experience.

Sign-on and Relocation Bonus:

Negotiable.
