Seeking an experienced Diesel Service Technician in the Watertwon, SD area for a well-respected, multi-location Transportation Equipment Sales and Service company. Qualified applicants understand the importance of doing a job correctly and the value of satisfied customers. Regular duties include basic diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned transportation equipment in the shop and service locations.
Diesel Technician Qualifications:
* Entry level and experienced (5+ years) Diesel Technicians welcome to apply.
* Adequate knowledge of domestic and foreign diesel engines.
* Willingness to learn complex systems via training or possess relevant service school certifications.
* Proficient oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as efficiently within a team.
* Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
* High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
* Ability to work independently and positively within a team.
* $20-$25/hr Salary

Diesel Technician Responsibilities:
Performs basic diagnostics and both major and minor repairs
Preforms electrical system repairs
Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
Efficient worker able to deliver quality repairs in a timely fashion.
Team player and people person who can communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly manner.
Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
Accounts for all time on a time card and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
