Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic with experience in the waste hauling industry? We're seeking a talented professional to join our team at a respected organization in the transportation sector.
Position: Diesel Mechanic (with Waste Hauling Experience)
Responsibilities:
* Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines used in waste hauling vehicles, including garbage trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized equipment.
* Conduct routine inspections and diagnostic tests to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
* Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulic systems to ensure reliable performance.
* Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform repairs as needed to keep vehicles operational.
* Adhere to preventive maintenance schedules and follow manufacturer guidelines for servicing waste hauling equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts inventory, and service history.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic, with specific experience in the waste hauling industry.
* Relevant certifications or technical training in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
* Strong understanding of waste hauling equipment and hydraulic systems.
* Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in diesel-powered vehicles.
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
