RESPONSIBILITIES Provide support to all activities related to the administration of computerized database s . Projects long range requirements for database administration and design in conjunction with other managers in the information systems function. Includes database design, database structure identification, database schema definition, database access privilege management, database query optimization, documentation, database instance upgrades, long-range requirements, operational guidelines, and database protection. Conducts quality control and auditing of databases in a web-based environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advises users on access to various web-based databases. Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front end /backend programming languages (e.g., SQL). Performs database programming and supports systems design. Maintaining information assurance (IA) security documentation and artifacts for SQL databases. Includes maintenance of database dictionaries, overall monitoring of standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Five (5) years progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle PL SQL, SQL, SQQ Lite, T-SQL, MS Access. At least three years hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems. Familiarity with technical controls in the Risk Management Framework, as they apply to SQL databases. Experience also shall include capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages. Has experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for?administering, operating , maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database. Minimum TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance . Active Computing Environment Certification: MS SQL Server 2016 and up (Desired) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical requirements and provide innovative solutions . Ability to adapt to changing business requirements and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and guide teams towards achieving project goals and deliverables. Highly motivated, self-learner, and technically inquisitive Excellent written and verbal communication skills Conduct root cause problem analysis and develop technical solutions to problems.
