Responsibilities
• Developing new construction and other commercial real estate loan business and managing a portfolio of assigned commercial loans.• Recommending new construction lending business for approval and acting as primary contact between borrower and bank.• Approving loans within established limits or referring to loan committee for approval.• Meeting with applicants to obtain information and analyzing data for loan requests.• Submitting applications to credit analysts for financial analysis and approval recommendations.• Presenting loan recommendations to senior credit committee.• Maintaining assigned portfolio of borrowing relationships and ensuring adherence to quality and risk standards.• Screening loan requests based on bank policies and procedures.• Recommending products and services to potential borrowers and handling inquiries.• Building in-depth knowledge of assigned loan relationships and assessing risks.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or related field.• 5+ years of commercial lending experience with 3+ years in construction lending.• Formal credit training.• Accountability and ownership of roles and responsibilities.• Coordination, organization, planning, and prioritization skills.• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.• Effective written and oral communication skills.• Strong PC skills, including Excel and Microsoft Office.
