The Georgia Tech Post Office is here for all of your mailing needs. You can send packages, purchase mail supplies, and much more. Students living on campus can find their virtual mailbox at the Post Office as well as the package pick-up window for picking up parcels.
The Georgia Tech Post Office provides mail and parcel pick-up services for students receiving packages from the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), Federal Express (FedEx), Airborne and DHL. Outgoing shipping services are provided by the United States Postal Service (USPS) only.
Job Summary Provide services involving the receipt, storage and delivery of items within a campus unit and/or on a campus-wide basis which may include mail, packages, materials and supplies. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: supervisor, co-workers and delivery customers. This position typically will advise and counsel: NA. This position will supervise: NA.
Responsibilities Job Duty 1 -
Receive and verify condition of incoming shipments. Job Duty 2 -
Pull, load and account for items for delivery. Job Duty 3 -
Locate recipients and delivery items which may involve operation of motor vehicle. Job Duty 4 -
Provide work guidance to other courier personnel as required. Job Duty 5 -
Maintain loading and receiving area, mail and supply rooms in orderly condition. Job Duty 6 -
Maintain inventory and delivery records. Job Duty 7 -
Investigate and resolve customer inquiries. Job Duty 8 -
Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma Required Experience
Two to four years of job related experience Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities SKILLS
This job requires skills in performing stocking and delivery of supplies including scheduling and maintenance of related records and operation of loading/unloading equipment and motor vehicle. Customer service skills are also required.
