Role Description:
The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting project management programs. A typical financial analyst is responsible for gathering and communicating financial information for clients.
Responsibilities: Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports. Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry, and economic conditions for use in cost forecasting. Utilize CMMS (Maximo) to issue Service & Purchase Orders to vendors. Manage project budgets within financial systems. Manage CSI process to accurately track and forecast project costs. Provides regular cost updates to Management and Stakeholders. Maintains organization of information for yearend accruals. Required Skills/Qualifications: Financial and/or accounting experience required. Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking. Ability to work independently and manage one's time. Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses. Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, and reporting of financial data. Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software(Smart by GEP, Ariba, SAP). Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related financial discipline or 10 years of related work experience required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
