COOK II HIRING IMMEDIATELY FOR FULL TIME POSITIONS! $7,000 SIGN ON BONUS Location: Running Aces Casino Hotel Racetrack - 15201 Running Aces Blvd, Columbus, MN 55025 Schedule: Full time positions. POSITION SUMMARY: Follow the instructions of the Chef and Sous Chef to help ensure high-quality food service is provided.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Rotate inventory and ensure freshness of product. Refill items that require prepping. Prepare sauces and intermediate items while following recipes. Prepare orders in a quick and consistent time frame. Clean the Concessions area during downtime. Prepare recipes for the line. Possess knowledge of the current menu items. Use creativity with specials. Clean various kitchen equipment as needed. Restock and clean the line as needed. Ensure set up is thorough and complete for next shift. Familiarity with the following equipment (training in use provided): fryer, char broiler, flat-top, hot well, walk-in refrigerator, walk-in freezer, assortment of knives, etc. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 18 years of age or older. Must possess basic cooking skills and have a basic understanding of cleaning and sanitizing in a kitchen setting. Most possess good knife skills. Must possess knowledge of kitchen equipment. Must possess the ability to obtain a Minnesota Racing Commission gaming license. PHYSICAL, INTELLECTUAL & ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including nights, weekends and holidays. Strong multitasking skills with additional attention to detail. Possess creativity when it comes to food specials. Ability to handle frequent walking, standing, kneeling, crouching, twisting, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This is a very active position. Ability to lift 50lbs. Must be able to work flexible shifts in a crowded, noisy and occasionally humid environment. ADDITIONAL NOTES: Must be present onsite for this position.
