Controls Technician Georgetown, KY Long Term contract Job Description :
· Use technical expertise in the development of machine installation and modification plans.
· Prepare, troubleshoot, and confirm equipment at vendors site and/or in Production Engineering lab during project preparation, equipment runoff, and during project installation phase with focused activity to ensure safety and quality compliance standards are met.
· Performs online and offline PLC programming
· Primary support to NAMCs for auxiliary equipment (robot teaching, handling device adjustment) for new die introduction.
· Periodic support to NAMCs to investigate and countermeasure mass production problems.
Requirements: · Electronics & Controls Understanding
· Press mechanics Understanding
· Root cause analysis & c/m determination
· Good communication skills to work in a team environment with internal and external customers.
· Fundamental knowledge of mechanics of materials.
· Fundamental knowledge of tooling and machining.
Additional skills preferred :
· Robot programming
· Pneumatic & Hydraulic Systems Understanding
· 2 year Technical Degree +1 year heavy equipment and/or press experience or 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience
Qualifications preferred: · 2 year Technical Degree + 3 years heavy equipment and/or press experience
· Ability to travel to support at other locations, domestic and international; 40% travel to other sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, etc.
· Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to perform functions
