ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions:
Conduct level-2 tree risk assessments for Southern California Edison's Hazard Tree Program (HTP).
Assess trees for strike potential within the utility strike zone, significant defects, likelihood of failure and likelihood of contact with distribution and transmission infrastructure.
Serve as a liaison between clients, customers, and utility line clearance crews
Collection and reporting of accurate data
Implement job safety practices in and around the work area
Ensure trucks and other assigned equipment are kept in a neat and professional manner
Support, actively participate, and act in accordance with Wright and CNUC's culture of safety and employee ownership
Comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures
Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Current ISA Arborist Certification required.
Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) preferred.
Experience assessing hazard trees along utility rights of way preferred.
Degree in Forestry or related environmental field, preferred but not required
Basic understanding of tree species identification, invasive species, and tree growth rates
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to work independently
Strong verbal, written, and customer service skills
Ability work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
Proficient in map navigation skills
Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
Valid driver's license with no restrictions
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with employees and vendors.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIREMENTS: The physical activities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, sitting, walking, and standing functions.
