Job Title: APM - Assistant Project Manager
Reports To: Project Executive
Overview: The APM collaborates with the Project Executive, Project Manager, Superintendent, and other team members to enhance project management processes, procedures, and efficiency, ensuring successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assist in client contract preparation, providing contract summaries to the Project Executive and Manager.
Support project management through scheduling, procurement, construction, and closeout phases.
Conduct site visits as required, assisting trades and the superintendent.
Manage progress pay applications and documentation submission.
Coordinate subcontractor pay applications and lien release processes.
Aid in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
Procure project materials and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Facilitate owner meetings and maintain meeting materials.
Handle subcontractor and client change orders, delay notices, and termination notices.
Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and daily reports.
Assist with permit and inspection coordination.
Track project expenses and activities, ensuring accurate budget management.
Respond to communications promptly and maintain high-quality project documentation.
Support project staff and ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, College Degree
5+ years of commercial construction experience
3+ years experience with HIGH-RISE construction projects (Dealbreaker qualification)
Strong written and oral communication skills
OSHA 10 certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and other relevant software
Demonstrated success in managing 5-10 projects and supporting project staff members
