Concrete Laborer

Seeking a Concrete Laborer for a direct hire opportunity with our client in West Burlington, IA.
This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!  
Pay is between $20 - $30 per hour (based on experience)
As a concrete laborer, you will play a vital role in the construction industry by assisting with the pouring, smoothing, and finishing of concrete structures. Your duties will involve working closely with concrete mixers, cement masons, and other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards.
Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of concrete mixtures according to project specifications, including measuring and mixing ingredients, and ensuring proper consistency. Help set up and dismantle concrete forms and molds, ensuring they are securely in place and properly aligned for pouring. Assist in pouring concrete into forms, spreading it evenly using shovels, rakes, and hand trowels, and ensuring it reaches desired levels. Aid in finishing concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and troweling, while paying attention to detail to achieve the desired texture and appearance. Assist in applying curing compounds and protective sealants to concrete surfaces to promote proper drying and long-term durability. Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas, ensuring a safe and organized environment at all times. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and hazards on the job site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. 2+ years of experience in concrete work. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and procedures. Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
