Responsibilities
• Build a connection with pet parents to understand their pet's needs and personalities.• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets in the Pets Hotel.• Interact directly with pets, providing exercise and playtime.• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the Pets Hotel.• Provide food, medication, and care for pets during overnight stays.• Possibly cross-train in other areas of the store to assist with customer engagement and pet care.• Possibly take on leadership roles as a Pets Hotel Assistant Manager or Retail Store Department Manager.• Contribute to the opening or turnaround of new hotel locations.• Transfer to different PetSmart stores nationwide if desired.• Be a part of a community that works together for the love of pets.
Requirements
• Passion for and knowledge of pets and their needs.• Ability to connect with pet parents and provide excellent customer service.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to pet safety and well-being.• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and overnights.• Willingness to cross-train in different areas of the store.• Desire to develop leadership skills and take on new challenges.• Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Minimum age requirement of 18 years old, unless prohibited by local or state law.• No criminal history that would disqualify from employment, as allowed by relevant laws.
