Remote Position
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – FRACTIONAL
Location: Flexible/Remote (preference for Utah candidates with proximity to corporate headquarters)
Type: Fractional/Part-Time
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at AAPC is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations, aligning financial strategy with business goals, ensuring financial stability and growth, fostering innovation, and leading the positive evolution of AAPC's financial management, systems, and processes. Key Responsibilities: Complex Capital Structure Management: Manage debt financing, capital cost reduction, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and financial restructuring. Governance and Board Relations: Serve as a key financial advisor to the Board of Directors, ensuring transparent financial reporting and governance practices, and participating actively in board meetings to inform and guide organizational decisions and policy. Stakeholder Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with lenders, equity holders, investors, banks, analysts, and other key financial partners – providing transparent and accurate financial information and insights into the company's performance and strategic direction. Executive Direction: Provide financial analysis, guidance, coaching, business model innovation, and fiduciary best practices. Oversee accounting, treasury, financial planning, internal audits, tax strategy, and risk management. Establish performance metrics, lead key financial projects/initiatives, and teach the business the consequences of its actions. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, growth, while providing mentorship and professional development opportunities. Operational Efficiency: Implement cost management procedures, optimize financial processes, integrate new technologies, coach up (or out) financial team members, and streamline business processes for maximum efficiency. Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Manage financial commitments, audit processes, tax strategies, and ensure regulatory compliance. Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, both internal and external, and develop strategies to mitigate while optimizing returns. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic financial plans aligned with business objectives, leveraging financial insights to identify growth opportunities, optimize resource allocation, and drive operational efficiencies. Cash and Receivables Management: Oversee cash flow management, accounts receivable, customer financing solutions, and credit risk assessments in all relevant jurisdictions, as well as adherence to internal controls and corporate governance standards. Continuous Financial Process Improvement : Lead initiatives to enhance finance and accounting processes, tools, and methodologies, leveraging automation and technology to streamline reporting, analysis, and forecasting processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: Proven experience for more than a decade as a CFO or similar financial leadership role. Demonstrated success in managing complex capital stacks with various parties spanning lenders, banks, equity holders, investors, shareholders, and other stakeholders. History of contributing strongly to significant business financial growth with the ability to anticipate trends, identify opportunities, develop innovative financial solutions, and implement them optimally to drive business growth and profitability. Absolute expert in corporate finance, from best practices to regulatory compliance, and from innovative financial strategy to high-performance execution.  Highly analytical, with expertise in data analysis and forecasting models. Solid blend of strategic vision, technical skills, and high detail orientation. Strong interpersonal skills with personal attributes of integrity, drive, and humility. Track record of acquiring, developing, and retaining great talent globally (for in-office and/or remote work). CPA, MBA, or relevant advanced degree helpful.
