As the Chief Estimator , you'll be pivotal in spearheading project success from the outset. You'll manage the entire estimating process, ensuring competitive and profitable bids that win projects and consistently exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities:
* Oversees and manages estimating processes and procedures.
* Responsible for all aspects of technical estimating.
* May personally develop estimates for large or complex projects.
* Ensure clarification through communication with the owner or general, as required.
* Responsible for review of the project schedule during the bid process.
* Supervision and scheduling of estimating staff at the corporate office or other sites as required (no remote) .
* Maintain the estimating database.
Minimum Education/Skills:
* Five years' experience in electrical estimating.
* A working knowledge of electrical estimating at a level normally acquired through the completion of a 4-year degree or related field or equivalent experience.
* Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
Required Key Skills:
* Familiar with a variety of electrical concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work and complete projects under tight deadlines.
* Provide ongoing, timely communication to key stakeholders regarding project status.
* Ability to work independently and lead and direct the work of others.
* Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
** May be required to submit to periodic background checks if the position requires access to security-sensitive business locations and/or systems **
