Greet customers, receive food orders, repeat food orders, charge the appropriate price for each menu item ordered by customers, receive the correct amount tendered by customers and provide the correct change for each transactionResponsibilities:Be able to enact gift cards requested by customersBe very familiar with and up to date with California Fish Grill Restaurant's menu and pricesInteract with guests in a friendly/fast mannerAbility to make corrections to customer orders in a fast and efficient mannerAbility to determine counterfeit money and respond to situations involving counterfeit moneyAssure age requirements are verified prior to serving alcoholic beveragesTreat all customers in a manner to ensure their complete satisfactionReport to work in a neat and clean uniformWell-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essentialKeeps work area neat and clean at all timesCleans and maintains equipment usedCompletes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assignedSupports the Mission, Values and Vision of California Fish Grill and the facilityQualifications:STRONG WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF:Restaurant operationsQuality Customer ServiceSafe work habits and proceduresCompany rules and procedures, in compliance with and including state and federal lawsAbility to properly charge the correct price for food and drink item ordered in an effective, professional mannerAbility to operate a POSAbility to operate credit card equipmentAbility to interact with customers effectivelyAbility to handle multiple tasksMaintain composure when dealing with staff and occasionally under conditions of urgency and/or pressure situationsMust be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcoholAbility to follow written and oral instructions and procedures as directed by the Restaurant ManagerAbility to be aware of and follow company policies and procedures related to job safety, including safety rules and regulations
