Essential Functions Sourcing equipment, goods and services and managing vendors/donors.  Perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of spend, search for better deals and find more profitable suppliers  Cycle Count Training for all members of management Create inventory counts for ReStores and manage compliance. Train and implement techniques as needed to control measures.  Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness  Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms including purchasing Assess, manage and mitigate risks  Seek and partner with reliable vendors, suppliers, and donors.  Determine quantity and timing of deliveries, and coordinate with ReStore staff  Monitor ReStores stock levels and forecast upcoming levels of demand  Comparison shop the competition to determine price points and products demand  Monitor product demands and eliminate non-productive inventory  Assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment for customers, employees and volunteers  Assist in ensuring that each customer receives outstanding customer service  Regular and reliable job attendance  Adhere to schedule Maintain a presentable appearance, including ReStore appropriate attire  Ability to adhere to Habitats Code of Conduct policies and other policies  Dependable transportation to work Key and Alarm code holder Habitat Charlotte related tasks as requested by supervisor  Qualifications BS Degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration preferred (or equivalent combination of work experience/education) Valid drivers license and dependable transportation Proven working experience as a purchasing coordinator or manager Skills and Abilities Vendor/Supplier negotiating skills Ability to read, count, and accurately complete reports and all end of day documentation Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures  Solid judgment along with decision making skills  Strong leadership capabilities  Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management  Interest in market dynamics along with business sense  Behaviors Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring the engagement and motivation of others  Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude when interacting with employees, customers, donors, volunteers and the public  Ensure a meaningful volunteer experience Represent Habitat in a positive, professional manner to all donors, customers and others you come into contact with  Work Environment This position requires working in a variety of conditions, including retail stores, warehouse/dock, and driving between locations. Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to move merchandise throughout the store, 50-60 lbs with assistance Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation  Ability to work flexible schedule, some nights and weekends  Ability to be Forklift Certified Estimated Time Commitment: 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday schedule.
