Responsibilities
• Prepare fiscal budget and provide assessment of fiscal health of the Department• Manage general accounting processes for the Department• Oversee invoicing for unit and collection of accounts receivable• Work with CTO team to negotiate budgets and payment terms with external sponsors• Assist PIs with budget proposals and justifications for grant applications• Coordinate with legal staff on contract language modifications• Coordinate Institutional Review Board submissions for department research studies• Serve on RWJMS standardization committee for budget development and negotiation processes• Act as Clincard liaison for RWJMS study subject payments• Coordinate resources for successful implementation of clinical trials
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field• At least 4 years of experience in financial analysis• At least 2 years of experience at the supervisory/managerial level• Experience working in a large complex organizational structure, preferably within a multi-unionized, academic healthcare environment• Demonstrated understanding of budget preparation in a research environment• Excellent spreadsheet and database application skills
