The Business Analyst Level III (AF03) serves as an integral link between business needs and IT solutions, leveraging industry best practices to conceptualize business models, identify software package considerations, and evaluate organizational operational baselines. This role plays a critical part in strategizing and guiding engagements across various functional areas, including Human Resources, Finance, Supply, and Operations, while addressing IT inadequacies and generating strategies for enhanced IT operations.

Key Responsibilities: Act as a liaison between business/end users and IT systems development teams Conduct comprehensive requirements gathering, business analysis, and scope definition Recommend solutions or process improvements achievable through new or existing technology Research and document the relationships between application system components: end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices Translate business requirements into application-specific requirements Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews Coordinate resolution of complex problems, especially in ERP implementations Generate functional area strategies for improved IT operations across the organization Create and edit technical documents, reports, user manuals, and project deliverables Research and gather technical and background information for project documentation Consult with relevant sources to ensure project deliverables meet contract requirements and regulations
Minimum Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience 5+ years of related work experience Ability to specify hardware, software, and configuration activities Proficiency in creating design documents for application interfaces and deployments Experience with applications written in Java preferred Familiarity with WebLogic application Server preferred Experience with Imaging Service and Oracle databases preferred

Pay Transparency
Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
