CENTRAL ARIZONA VALLEY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY – CTE Automation and Robotics Teacher ******** School Year The Automation and Robotics Teacher will teach three, two-hour sessions for 180 days to approximately 50 total students. Additional days/time are compensated at the teacher's daily rate of pay. This rigorous training program is designed for students committed to a career in automation, robotics, processing, and manufacturing fields.
The person hired will need to be creative, but organized and be able to develop instructional programs based on engaging students, maximizing learning, and providing authentic assessments.
· Teaches Automation and Robotics classes to prepare students for direct employment upon program completion
· Accesses multi-media technology for instructional purposes
· Develops daily lesson plans upon which instruction and assessment are based
· Reports student enrollment and records assessment data
· Works with teachers, administrators and business and industry to improve and expand
programs
· Assists students prepare for regional, state, and national SkillsUSA competitions
· Preferred: A Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of study: robotics, electronic technologies, engineering sciences or other related field.
· Holds an industry credential such as CSWA, MSSC, NCCER, SACA, or Mechatronics.
· Preferred: Experience supervising and teaching high school youth.
· Valid certification in a specific teaching field from the Arizona Department of Education or evidence that one may be obtained.
This will be a full-time 10-month position with a salary range from $52,500 to $80,432 depending upon educational attainment and related work experience.
