Auto Body Painter

Qualifications: You can communicate with others. You can effectively read and understand instructions, written estimates, and work orders. You can multitask and adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of the work assigned. Own tools required. Resume required. 6+ years of experience working in an Auto Body Shop. Valid driver's license. Ability to drive vehicles with manual and automatic transmissions. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb. Ability to lift 1-15 pounds. Own transportation is required. Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written. Subject to weather conditions both inside and outside. Responsibilities: Responsible for following proper repair procedures and performing all refinish procedures. To complete quality work, use air sanders, spray guns, sanding blocks, etc. Manage & control materials cost, maximizing usage and inventory. Follow all Axalta paint manufacturing guidelines. Spray test panels for each vehicle to ensure the color match. Assist in prep work when necessary. Ensure all paint operations are complete, all masking is removed, and all prior paint-related disassembly has been reassembled before returning the vehicle to the body tech. Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area. Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the business successfully.
