The Miami office of Kubicki Draper is currently seeking an Associate with 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Prior insurance defense experience is required. Experience in premise liability, construction insurance coverage, and pre-suit is highly desired.
Your Day-to-Day: Draft/review and respond to substantive pleadings, motions, and discovery Attend/chair hearings, depositions, mediations, and meetings with clients, as well as negotiate settlements Assist with trial preparation and/or attend trial. Must be competent & proficient in the use of Word, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint & Excel Communicate in a highly effective manner with team members and clients Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment Requirements Previous experience in insurance defense litigation is preferred Strong skills in legal research, writing, and persuasive oral advocacy An intrinsic client-first approach, ensuring impeccable service Previous experience in insurance defense is an asset, though not mandatory.
