Responsibilities
• Assisting and supervising children during all activities• Attending and participating in staff meetings, Academy events, and parent meetings• Developing plans and preparing instructional aids and materials• Maintaining appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of classroom• Ensuring physical and emotional needs of children are met• Implementing policies and procedures for children's health and safety• Assisting children with mealtimes and cleanup• Completing Academy and classroom paperwork• Preparing and implementing classroom lesson plans, programs, and schedule• Maintaining and using classroom and outdoor equipment properly• Attending workshops, conferences, and in-service training• Reporting problems to Lead Teacher or Academy Director• Reporting to Academy Director when unable to attend work
Requirements
• Meeting state and local licensing requirements• Having a high school diploma or equivalent• Being 18 years of age or in a high school work study program• Receiving required training hours each calendar year as per state licensing requirements• Passing state medical requirements and background check
