We are on the lookout for a dedicated Assistant Director to enhance our Field Operations team. This pivotal role supports the supervision and coordination of our dynamic team, including Desk Reviewers, Field Staff Appraisers, Administrative staff, and independent appraisal companies. You will play a key role in developing performance standards and acting as a liaison between our customers and auto repair facilities to ensure satisfaction and high-quality service delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Oversight: Manage a diverse team comprising Field Appraisers, Re-inspectors, Desk Reviewers, and Independent Appraisal Companies. Ensure all team members adhere to our high standards for estimate accuracy and workmanship.
Quality Control: Develop and uphold quality control protocols to monitor and review work performed by field personnel. Maintain regular checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain productive relationships with auto repair facilities and independent appraisal companies. Manage and expand our network of repair facilities, particularly in areas lacking field staff.
Performance Reporting: Deliver comprehensive monthly and annual reports detailing the activities and quality of work from field personnel and repair facilities.
Administrative Leadership: Handle administrative duties within the team, including hiring, setting performance objectives, and ensuring effective training programs are in place.
Vendor Management: Evaluate vendor performance to ensure competitiveness and quality.
Strategic Hiring: Recruit staff appraisers strategically based on volume needs, balancing cost and service effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience in appraising/adjusting
Proven management experience
Extensive knowledge of automobile manufacturing and repair technologies
Proficient in claims handling and understanding regulatory requirements
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
Proven background in personnel management, including hiring, goal setting, and performance evaluation
Leadership skills with a focus on training and development
College degree, technical training, or equivalent significant work experience
Preferred:
Advanced degree or specialized training in related fields
