As directed by RTM(Regional Transportation Manager), the Area Driver Lead will alternate between normal driving duties and defined tasks that will support the operations and business needs of Maverik Logistics Assist the Regional Transportation Manager (RTM) by supporting the prioritization of resources, facilitating alignment of drivers in assigned area, reinforcing expectations for driver performance, and encouraging mutual support across the Maverik Logistics team As directed by RTM, provide direction and coaching to improve driver performance and retention Be the point of contact to answer driver questions and resolve driver concerns and/or elevate to RTM as needed Coach retail fuel drivers in developing and implementing best practices, measuring operational efficiencies, continuously improving productivity, and achieving operational standards of excellence Ensure coordination of dispatch communications with Customers, Suppliers, and Drivers Train drivers in the prevention of accidents, compliance issues, and overall performance Work with RTM, Certified Driver Trainers, and the Safety Department to keep new drivers in the training program on track with expectations Coordinate with Drivers and Dispatch to manage the maintenance of all equipment in assigned region Maintain a flexible schedule in reaction to business need; weekends and night-time hours with overnight travel may be required Additional responsibilities as assigned See job description
