Your Key Responsibilities Rotate in departments related to the trade to complete 8000 on-the-job training hours and successfully complete related classroom instruction specific to the tradeWork closely with a Mechanic in conducting preventative and corrective maintenance of the building, machinery and equipmentCompletes work-orders in a timely and efficient manner under the supervision of a journeyperson, attends classes as required for apprenticeship, and troubleshoots equipmentRequires a highly motivated individual who is willing to learn and apply acquired skillsOvertime as well as weekend and holiday work hours are required Your Qualifications High school diploma or equivalentMechanical aptitude and knowledgeHands-on learnerEnthusiastic about their career in skilled tradesExcellent communication ability (written & verbal)Positive work ethicProblem solving skills Our Offering The Schaeffler Apprenticeship Program is State certified through Apprentice Ohio and nationally recognized. The Schaeffler Apprenticeship Program is the largest registered manufacturing program in the State of Ohio. The University of Akron delivers the classroom instruction required for the program. Schaeffler covers 100% of the tuition costs and offers an optional college credit track.
Schaeffler is currently offering a Hiring Bonus: $1500 after 90 days, $1000 after 12 months
