• APM Tools Application Support Job Description Summary:
• The Monitoring Strategies & Engineering team is rapidly expanding due to growth in the application performance monitoring services in Digital space as well as public/private cloud and is actively seeking a senior software engineer to join our team focused on monitoring strategies within Digital Technology that rely on it. This position will work within an Agile framework, attend daily meetings, collaborate with team members, business partners and clients, translate business requirements to JIRA stories, help manage the product backlog, and engineer new capabilities. As a senior software engineer for. Your daily responsibilities will include leading and participating in proof-of-concepts, engineering configurations based on application requirements, implementing standards & best practices, performing software upgrades, responding to security findings, automating processes & procedures, identifying & mitigating technical problems, developing documentation & departmental technical procedures, and providing 4th level support to production and pre-production operations teams. In this role, you will:
• Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
• Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
• Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
Required Qualifications:
• 5+Year' experience APPD EUM tool.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools – AppDynamics, Splunk, BigPanda, NetcoolAbility to learn the applications and support in resolving application issues
• Ability to identify manual tasks in the processes and automating them to reduce toil
• Experience with continuous integration development technologies such as IBM Udeploy, (UrbanCode Deploy), Jenkins, etc.
• Experience with one or more CI/CD and Automation tools: Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Git, Artifactory, Ansible
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience developing or supporting Middleware technology solutions
• Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
• Experience with one or more software development languages: Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, JSON, Angular, NodeJS
• Experience with one or more Observability/Monitoring tools: Elastic, Kibana, Grafana, AppDynamics, Kafka, Jaeger, Splunk
• Experience with one or more OS and Platforms: AWS, PCF, PKS, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Linux, Azure, Windows, VMware
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
