Responsibilities
• Facilitate admissions and assessment processes for incoming patients• Respond to inquiries about the facility within policy timeframes• Schedule/complete pre-admission assessments and communicate recommendations• Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel for appropriate recommendations and admissions• Coordinate admission and transfer between levels of care• Perform insurance benefit verifications and communicate information to patients and staff• Gather medical admission documentation and secure pre-authorization for treatment• Assist with concurrent reviews and facilitate peer to peer reviews• Provide ongoing assessment of patient status• Communicate treatment recommendations and coordinate with other treatment teams
Requirements
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing• One or more years' nursing experience preferred• Current RN license and CPR certification required• De-escalation and restraint certification required (training available)• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements
