Summary of Job Duties:
Provides administrative support in the Division of Student Engagement specifically for the Associate Vice Chancellor for Student Engagement and Dean of Students. Provides support to all departments under the per view of AVC/DOS - Housing and Residence Life, Student Programs and Activities, Student Conduct and Title IX, Intramurals and Recreation, Counseling Services and Wellness Center.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Manage AVC/DOS calendar and appointments and maintain departmental calendar.
Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks including data entry and the drafting, editing and revision of internal and external correspondence, reports and other materials including notation.
Greet visitors, answer phones, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues based on established University policies and making appropriate referrals as needed.
Instruct and oversee the activities of student staff. Facilitate, monitor and or oversee department purchasing, inventory and requisitioning of supplies and equipment.
Assis in the planning and coordination of special events. Provide excellent service through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement.
Comply with all published University policies, procedures, guidelines and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention, FERPA and confidentiality.
Works under general supervision and is responsible for examining and verifying documents, preparing routine correspondence, and maintaining files. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.

Qualifications:
Minimum qualifications include a formal education equivalent of a high school diploma for each position.
Previous office management and/or administrative assistant experience
Experience working with a diverse student population in a educational setting
