Lighthouse Lab Services is working with a start up lab that focuses on food testing in the Ann Arbor, MI area. We're looking for an administrative lab manager to join the team. This person should have a background in environmental testing work (heavy metals) as well as microbiology experience.
Shift: Days M-F
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise laboratory operations to uphold quality standards, efficiency, and timely completion of tasks. Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries, maintaining our commitment to exceptional service. Lead the recruitment process for laboratory personnel, facilitating performance reviews, and fostering professional development. Manage laboratory finances to ensure profitability. Collaborate with the laboratory team to achieve ISO 17025 compliance and implement the Corporate Quality Management System effectively. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laboratory environment, overseeing maintenance operations. Ensure adherence to the Laboratory Safety Program at all times. Oversee non-routine projects as requested by clients or assigned by management. Stay updated on scientific advancements and industry trends through continuous learning. Conduct periodic audits of laboratory staff to ensure compliance with protocols. Directly engage with clients regarding laboratory capabilities, results, pricing, and related matters. Travel as required for business purposes. Perform any additional duties as assigned, including method verification. Preferred Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Science 5+ years of experience in food testing laboratory environement Background with LCMS and PCR testing Previous start up experience Salary and Benefits:
