Responsibilities
• Prepare necessary information and maintain file systems• Assist with office procedures in a timely fashion• Coordinate office activities and perform administrative/secretarial activities• Handle administrative matters in accordance with established time frames and guidelines• Ensure confidentiality of information• Act as administrative support to departmental staff• Receive CMNs and obtain authorization for requested services• Collaborate with Case Managers and Social Workers in discharge planning• Keep staff informed of status regarding long term care approvals/denials• Update Resource Directory and inform Social Workers of additional community resources• Submit inpatient lists to managed care organizations• Perform data entry• Prepare statistical data each month• Take minutes and maintain notebooks of staff meetings• Process and maintain time and attendance records• Support managerial and administrative staff• Interact and work collaboratively with patients/families/hospital staff/outside representatives in a customer responsive manner• Maintain confidentiality of patient, department, and hospital information• Review and verify forms, reports, and documents for accuracy and completion• Compile and prepare various reports and data• Coordinate inventory control activities• Prepare and maintain required statistics, records, files, and reports• Provide research and administrative support to special projects• Complete required continuous training and education• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Requirements
• Associate's Degree in business, office administration, or related field• Two (2) years administrative or office experience, preferably in a healthcare organization• Demonstrated organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills• Ability to independently coordinate activities and prioritize multiple tasks• Proficiency with computers and various software applications
