Full job description Penmac Staffing is looking for a Temporary Part-Time Accounting/Administrative Assistant for an office in the Baxter Area! Job Duties: Responsible for accounts payable functions including matching packing slips to purchase orders and verifying invoices, data entry of invoices, and responding to vendor inquiries regarding account status and discrepancies Responsible for accounts receivable functions including receiving and recording customer payments to the appropriate account and initiating collection activities as needed Issues credit memos Prepares bank deposits Works with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and problem solve discrepancies Performs basic word processing/data entry functions and general office filing Assists in answering and routing of incoming telephone calls as needed Performs other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: High School Diploma required. 2-year General Accounting Degree or equivalent experience preferred Experience with Word, Excel and Outlook Experience in a business environment managing accounts payable and receivable functions preferred.
