Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to play a key role on our growing team. You'll be responsible for recording all our financial transactions including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, and posting information to accounting journals and QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is a strong team player, detail-oriented, and highly organized. If this sounds like work you'll love, we're waiting eagerly for your application!Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statementsPerform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepanciesAssist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecastsProcess payroll and ensure accurate recording of employee compensationManage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoicesPrepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accountsAssist with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls in compliance with SOX regulationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for reporting purposesConduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvementAssist with the preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during annual auditsQualifications:2+ years of work experience at an accounting firm or as a bookkeeper, cost accountant, management accountant, or similar positionMust exhibit exemplary problem-solving, communication, and time management skillsExceptional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Candidate must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar fieldMust know Cost AccountingAbout Company:Olympic Oil is engaged in the development and production of lubricants, thermal transfer fluids, and related additives including motor oil, coolants and antifreeze, engine and fuel products geared towards OEM, professional, and end consumers.
