Responsibilities
• Establish and monitor area goals, policies, plans, programs, objectives, and budget• Analyze and recommend resource levels, plan, develop, and implement programs and policies• Manage financial resources• Oversee the management and development of area staff• Develop system infrastructure strategy and technical basis for renewal decisions• Manage the preventive maintenance optimization process• Evaluate, prioritize, select, and coordinate equipment and technology for the system• Develop and manage construction and design standards, work procedures, and operating procedures• Collaborate with other engineering managers• Provide technical support to operating areas and dispatch
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, BSEE (power option) or similar, required; MBA preferred• 10+ years' experience in Power T&D engineering operations• Demonstrated leadership experience in strategic planning and performance improvement efforts• Extensive knowledge in distribution operations support, design or planning, required• Excellent communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal/soft skills• Candidate must reside or relocate to CT and be available for emergency storm assignments
