Details of the offer

The Load Planner determines the best plans based on driver and customer needs while pushing for the best possible utilization on tractors and trailers within their assigned area. Load Planners will also effectively communicate freight needs and create capacity when freight imbalances occur.
• Work with customer service and fleet management to determine market needs and maximize available freight capacity
• Coordinate market utilization while keeping deadhead to a minimum
• Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services.
• All other duties as required.
• Knowledge Skills, and Abilities
• Good communication skills; typing and computer skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast paced and demanding environment
• Ability to prioritize freight; ability to quickly make decisions concerning capacity
• Ability to work without direct supervision
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Covenant's compensation philosophy's intent is to use a competitive total compensation strategy to determine the current market value of a position while also considering individual factors such as performance in current position, time in seat of current position, experience, level of responsibility/accountability, and longevity with the company. The system will be objective and non-discriminatory.
Pay Range: $45,007.59-$69,574.81
Pay Grade: 7
