BUYER AVAILABLE IN NEWPORT NEWS, VA Volt is immediately hiring for Buyer in Newport News, VA As a Buyer, you will be:
· Placing purchase orders, expediting, and providing customer service functions.
· Collecting and maintaining information and records to prepare Purchase Orders.
· Contacting vendors and suppliers for quotations and maintain relationships.
· Reconciling payable discrepancies and customer problems.
· Managing freight billing and audit processes.
· Researching specifications of products not clearly identified.
· Entering and editing purchase orders and blanket order releases.
· Ensuring product file integrity.
This is a Full-time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have: · Bachelor's Degree- preferred but not necessary.
· 1-2 years' experience in professional customer service.
· Intermediate Microsoft Excel/Access skills, and above average math skills.
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $24.75 per hour. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
